Rivers and Lochs of Scotland is a comprehensive and completely revised edition which features more than 5000 freshwater fishing locations complete with access details, flies and tactics and where to obtain permission to fish.

The book, which is published by Black and White Publishing and costs £20, has been described as the angler’s bible.

Sandison is one of the UK’s finest angling writers and has earned an international reputation for his determination to protect Scotland’s salmon, sea trout and brown trout stocks.

He has been fishing in Scotland for nearly 60 years and his work has appeared in most of the UK’s leading newspapers and magazines. He has also worked on radio and television.

Sandison’s accumulated knowledge of fishing and his well-documented love for the environmental integrity of his native land is reflected in the pages of his latest work..

“Scotland,” he says, “has some of the finest game fishing in the world, particularly amidst the wild brown trout lochs of the Highlands and Islands..

They are quite unique and, in my opinion, they are the true jewels in the crown of Scottish game fishing.

“Fishing has brought me a lifetime of joy and pleasure. We must do all that we can to ensure that this treasure is preserved for the joy and pleasure of generations of anglers to come.”
